“Rogue Rose” is a bittersweet confection of black taffeta, tightly fitted with a gored bodice and topped with accents of pink ribbon lacing beneath a heart-shaped neckline of matching pink lace.  A cleverly asymmetrical draping at the hips tapers to a narrow column of a skirt and crushes, floor-length, around the sleekest of black satin sandals, studded with black on black “jet” stones.  A tiny evening hat of spangled black tulle is bow-tied to a pink rose, matching the opera-length gloves.  The jewelry is a sentimental black bow at the throat and faceted black “jet” earrings.  The finishing touch is an elegant evening bag, fan-shaped and with a wrist strap.  Pink and black have never been more alluring than “Rogue Rose.”
