About the event
The 1940’s; an era of mystery and Film Noir. Over 60 years, the Film Noir genre itself has become a cult classic. For one weekend, Gene collectors are invited to get together to celebrate a great lady of an era gone by, Ms. Marsha Hunt! Ms. Hunt, through an incredible career that spans almost 70 years, has graciously agreed to honor us with her presence as we are transported into world of mystery and intricate story telling.
Also, to further celebrate Ms. Hunt’s many achievements and as a special bonus for this event, this “friend of Gene” will now officially become a friend of Gene! Jason Wu and Mel Odom have created a brand new Marsha Hunt doll, sculpted in Ms. Hunt’s likeness, which will be available for purchase exclusively at the event itself! There will also be a mini-convention collection featuring new Gene dolls and accessories, which will be available for sale separately from the rest of the Convention souvenir package. These will be offered to conventioneers with a payment plan prior to the convention, with delivery available at the event itself, or you may choose to purchase them at the event itself.
About the convention package
For the first time this year, the Gene convention will be under the management of Mr. Alain Tremblay and his team. Alain has worked closely together with Mel Odom to create an event tailored to Gene collectors. The registration package includes 3 meal functions and a special cocktail party for the launch of the Marsha Hunt doll followed by a costume ball. It also includes a plethora of exciting, high-quality convention souvenirs including an official convention fashion and the exquisite annual Gene convention doll, plus much more!
Conventioneers will be sent a comprehensive registration package in July 2007 containing the complete information about the convention with further details about the program, tours in the Pittsburgh area, workshops and everything we have in store for them! Pricing
If you stay at the Hyatt, pricing is $325* per registree. If you stay elsewhere, the price is $400*.
For those of you who collect both Gene and FR, we are proud to offer you a special package deal of $600 for BOTH conventions if you stay at the Hyatt ($700 if you stay elsewhere). The marsha hunt doll as well as the mini-convention collection will be offered for sale separately at a special reduced convention price. Purchase is 100% optional and is not part of the price of the actual convention package.
About the city of Pittsburgh
Why Pittsburgh you ask? Pittsburgh is a lovely city rich with culture, it’s that simple. From the Andy Warhol museum to an internationally renowned ballet company, Pittsburgh has a lot to offer and is an ideal new locale to explore. A lot of thought and consideration went into our decision to choose this wonderful city for our conventions this year. We are trying something brand new and hosting both of our events at the same location, which is within a rather short driving distance from our head offices, has given us greater negotiation power to ensure that we would obtain the best pricing for our customers and our event. This truly makes our events successful for everyone involved.

Additional Information, Rules and Conditions
First Come, First Served: This year, the convention attendance is limited to 300 places, sold on a first come first served basis but will stay open until it is sold out. W Club members are given a first-notification registration window. The event is opened to everyone 16 years or older who wishes to attend. Non W Club members will be allowed to register for the convention as of Monday April 30th, 2007.
Registering Two Attendees: Each registree may submit their registration with one additional person. To do this, select two registration packages in your cart. Be sure to include the full name, mailing address, email address and phone number for the extra person you are registering in the comments section (in the cart) before you submit your order.
Payment and Confirmation: Initial registrations will be done through the shopping cart, where you can pay via credit card, paypal or money order. You must complete your payment (credit cards and paypal) upon submission for your registration to be counted. For money order payments, your payment must arrive within two weeks of the date of your submission or your spot(s) will be forfeited.

Absentee packages: A convention would not be the same without the collectors, and in order to have a successful convention, negotiate low rates with the hotel and be able to afford producing all the goodies we give out at our event, we need you to attend. That’s why the decision was made again this year to not have any absentee packages available. This year however, we have decided to make any leftover souvenir packages (if any) available to W Club members after the event. Please note that depending on attendance, there may or may not be any packages left. With all this said, we understand that some of you have physical conditions or are in situations (be it work, location or what not) that prevent them for joining them and we totally understand your predicament. However, in order to be fair for those of do choose to go through the expense of joining us, no matter what situation they are in, we ask that everyone kindly respects our decision. If you can’t attend and absolutely want the souvenirs, why not consider sending someone in your place who can represent you? See “Substitutions”.
Substitutions: Conventioneers who have attended our events in the past know this, we will allow substitutions. Meaning, if you registered for the convention and suddenly learn that you can’t come for whatever reason, we will allow you to find a representative to replace you and collect your souvenirs in your place. If this should happen, please contact Alain, our event coordinator at web@integritytoys.com. We will do all we can to accommodate you.
Cancellation Policy: Although we realize that life happens and sometimes last minute problems may prevent you from attending, due to problems with cancellations in the past, the deadline for cancellations will be set 60 days before the start of the event this year, or September 8th and a 25% penalty fee will be held back for administrative purposes. Please note that realistically with travel, lodging, shopping and food expenses, it has been our experience that convention attendance usually costs around US$1200 to $1500. If you are not 100% certain that attending this event is within your budget, please consider that before registering. We will be more than happy to put you on a waiting list, which will stay open until 10 days prior to the event. Contact Alain directly at web@integritytoys.com for more details.
